Are there people who have experience with car warranty claims?
How did this turn out for you? I have had 1 collision with them so far and it is still ongoing (to my detriment).
Brief situational sketch:
Charger ST1x (the large box with built-in fan) broke after I plugged it into the socket.
After contacting the bicycle repair shop, he told me that external chargers are excluded from the car warranty, but were covered by the original manufacturer's warranty. That same day I had to purchase a new charger for €260 (expensive joke if you still have a "warranty").
Later at home I took the car warranty papers and did my own homework;
they mention in the contract: "extension of factory warranty" and otherwise nowhere that external chargers are excluded. I called them and the only answer I got was: "No, we cannot find it in your contract either, but according to our own system it is excluded."
This week I will send a registered letter to them requesting intervention in accordance with the signed contract and established exclusions.
If there are other people with such experiences, it might be interesting to contact them again...

Defective controller: replaced via warranty scheme
Battery: reimbursem*nt minus depreciation according to the table
Defective headlight: self-claimed from the FM on the basis of legal warranty, which ultimately resulted in a leniency arrangement. If that had not worked out, I would have wanted to have the defective headlight reimbursed through CarGarantie.

Positive experience with Car Garantee.
I had cracks in the rear rim (near some spoke holes) and of course I only noticed that a few weeks ago. The 2-year Stromer warranty was already in place at that time and Stromer indicated that it would not replace this part (because it was out of warranty).
Seamlessly picked up by Car Garantee via FM. The rim has already arrived and the transfer is also part of CarGarantine's care costs (that means "just" transferring the engine to the new rim). Correctly.
You must be aware that this Car Guarantee does not cover everything (for example not the charger) and that you are expected to carry out regular maintenance because you make the claim via your FM.
Next week I can hand in the ST3 for the transfer job.
So I have a positive experience with Car Garantee.
Wishing you many safe kilometers.
Greetings, Reinout

Top. Indeed, read the small print (I had also extended 3 years through Car Guarantee), but the print is completely clear.
It's nice that they don't make things difficult within the conditions.
They must have considered that putting a rim in and out was cheaper than a completely new engine + wheel (the Stromer policy). Almost a shame

Inserting and removing my rear wheel (using new spokes) cost around 100 Euro for my bike a few years ago, so a new rim must be cheaper than a completely new wheel.

My problems are also gone now.
They were correct enough to reimburse the bicycle charger. This was not excluded in their conditions... only when I called them did they tell me. We heard from the bicycle maker that they would adjust their brochures so that this is expressly excluded in the future.
Don't let everything fool you, I would say you saved 260 euros on a new charger

So last week I had the rim replaced (under Car Warranty conditions).
Then the entire rear is open, so I immediately had the 3 small cogs + derailleur wheels + chain replaced with my own money. Those derailleur wheels in particular were allowed after more than 23,000 km; the wreaths had already been changed once. Brake pads were not yet necessary; just bled everything and now the brake "squeezes" immediately. Just nice. It was also nice that the total bill did not include that rim at all.
Car Garantie has done a great job with this: they take the damage completely out of your hands and deal with it directly with your FM. Top.
Of course I hope to use this warranty as little as possible because then my ST3 Stromer But it's a nice feeling that you have this warranty for the (expensive!) Stromer parts.
Wishing you many safe kilometers.
I see that kilometer limits are being met again (congratulations Jan-Willem on your 20,000!) and I can also go back and forth to Utrecht more often. The Corona restrictions have brought a dip in mileage, but that quieter Stromer period is now coming to an end.
Greetings, Reinout

I helped pay (as a gift) for the ST1x for my girlfriend. It's a newer type than I have; with the omni-C. This bike only had 800km on the odometer (corona bike and car warranty! It was from 2020; so it still has 1 year Stromer warranty and then 3 years of Car warranty. Now that's a deal; 2nd hand a brand new bicycle without a scratch with a 4 year warranty via Markplaats! She's quite happy with it
Let's see if she will also reach 20,000 km
But thank you for the congratulations Reinout I'm glad that the Stromer weather is nice again and that I can go to work! On to 30,000 km. What is your counter now? 45k?

I hope not for Reinout that he is already 45,000 years old.
I will see on his profile that the mileage is 40,000 km. But that is from 2 Stromer 's added together(?)
