TOWSON, Md. –The Towson University athletics department today announced that fourteen Towson University men's and women's basketball games during the 2024-25 season will be televised on local media platform Monumental Sports Network (MNMT).
As a member of the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA), all regular season games Towson produces will air exclusively on FloSports digital with member institutions retaining rights to local linear television distribution.
Monumental Sports Network will carry 20 Towson events this season. Four of the five home Towson football games and two volleyball matches were also included in the partnership.
"Our partnership with Monumental Sports continues to make a tremendous difference for Towson Athletics and our growth within the region," Towson Director of AthleticsSteve Eigenbrotsaid. "We are grateful for a partner that allows us to maximize our exposure on linear television. Coupling our national television appearances with these broadcasts leaves us well positioned to continue loudly telling the story of Towson University."
Eight of the thirteen men's home games will be on the network, including a marquee non-conference matchup versus James Madison (November 16) and six conference games. Towson is coming off its third consecutive 20-win season and is picked to finish first in the CAA standings by the league coaches. The Tigers return 80 percent of their scoring from last season's team including, Christian May, Dylan Williamson and Tyler Tejada, who all averaged double digits.
Tejada and May also received preseason All-CAA honors. Tejada earned a first-team selection from the league's head coaches after winning Rookie of the Year in 2023-24 while May was named to the second team. The Tigers, who have played in three straight CAA semifinals, collected 10 of a possible 13 first-place votes.
"It is huge for our program and we are thrilled to be part of the Monumental team for the third straight season," Towson men's basketball head coach Pat Skerry said. "It allows us to showcase Towson University and our athletics programs. Our Mid-Atlantic viewership gets to see us play and finds out a lot about what our university offers. We are extremely grateful for the partnership."
Six women's basketball games will be part of the package, headlined by conference matchups versus Northeastern (January 17), Stony Brook (February 16) and Campbell (February 28). Towson is coming off a second straight 20-win campaign. The Tigers return their leading scorer, Patricia Anumgba, who earned second team All-CAA honors last season and was a unanimous first-team preseason choice this year.
"The investment from Monumental means everything knowing how many people in the DMV area have the opportunity to watch our games," said Towson women's basketball head coachLaura Harper. "Our kids get excited when they know we are on local TV and we are grateful for the opportunity."
MNMT is the exclusive local television media rights holder for the NHL's Washington Capitals, NBA's Washington Wizards, WNBA's Washington Mystics, and NBA G League's Capital City Go-Go. It also proudly boasts a comprehensive schedule of original programming and live men's and women's college basketball, college football, college volleyball, high school basketball, and esports, as well as Washington Spirit (NWSL), Old Glory DC (Major League Rugby), Washington Freedom (Major League Cricket), Hershey Bears (AHL), and Annapolis Blues (NPSL) games.
