Prince George's Community College Foundation Board of Directors Appoints New Members

LARGO, MD (May 30, 2024) — Prince George’s Community College Foundation (PGCC) announced today the addition of five new at-large members to its board of directors: Manuel “Manny” Geraldo, Dwight Deneal, Christian M. Gibbs, Antoine Maurice Thompson, and Mariko Bennett.

“We are grateful for each of these new foundation board members,” PGCC President Falecia D. Williams said. “As the foundation strives to increase critical partnerships, we look forward to working with these dynamic individuals.”

“The new board members bring diverse expertise and a commitment to enhancing PGCC's mission through strategic partnerships and community engagement,” PGCC Vice President of External Affairs, Communications, and Advancement, Dr. Sherrie Johnson, said.

Dena Wilson, Executive Director of Prince George's Community College Foundation, stated, "Each of these new board members brings a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise to support the College’s philanthropic efforts."

Manuel Geraldo

Manuel “Manny” Geraldo serves as the Washington Gas Maryland area manager for state government relations and public policy. Manny graduated from St. John’s College High School in 2002 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Temple University and a Juris Doctor degree from Howard University School of Law. He has been admitted to practice law in the state of Maryland since 2013. He lives in Washington, D.C., with his wife, Lauren, and their children.

Dwight Deneal

Dwight Deneal is the assistant administrator for the Office of Small Business Programs at NASA's headquarters in Washington, D.C., and serves as a U.S. Government Senior Executive Service (SES) member. A native of Columbia, South Carolina, Deneal graduated from Hampton University and is a graduate of Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government Executive Education program. Deneal was the recipient of the 2018 U.S. Department of Homeland Security Chief Procurement Officer Excellence in Industry Engagement Award. He is married with two children.

Christian M. Gibbs

Christian M. Gibbs, Unified’s president and founder, is a management consultant, business development expert, and entrepreneur in the strategy consulting, technology, and business process management (BPM) arenas, with particular expertise in the public sector, health care, and environmental verticals. Christian was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York City, to Caribbean and South American parents and has always had a passion for business and the arts. Christian has over 20 years of experience and deep cross-sector professional services expertise, rich in managing strategic relationships and constructing collaborative partnerships to achieve complex engagement implementations.

Antoine Maurice Thompson

Antoine Maurice Thompson is a native of Buffalo, New York. He graduated from Buffalo Public Schools #61, #60, and Bennett High School. Thompson, a graduate of SUNY Brockport with a dual bachelor’s degree in history and African and Afro-American Studies, also studied at the University of Ghana in Ghana, West Africa. Antoine is the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate of Laws Degree from Medaille College. Antoine is the Executive Director of the Greater Washington Region Clean Cities Coalition (GWRCCC). Antoine is married to Tracey Thompson and is the father of Deja L. Thompson and Joseph A. Thompson.

Mariko Bennett

Mariko Bennett is an influential engagement and development executive dedicated to building successful initiatives across government, public, and corporate affairs. She has blazed trails as a successful strategist, entrepreneur, author, and international speaker. Bolstered by two decades as a corporate political affairs leader in Washington, D.C., for Fortune 500 companies, Mariko began her entrepreneurial journey as CEO and Founder of COCO B. Productions, powering the globe’s leading brands, including Amazon and Walgreens, among others. Mariko was born in California and raised in Maryland, where she resides with her husband and three children.
